If the north end zone was bowled in like this picture (the Iowa State end of the above), what would the capacity of the Jack Trice be? I think the lower bowl would replace the current hillside tickets and the band. But the additional 2nd level would be additional capacity. How much would that add 10K seats?
Lot less than 10K, you have to leave room for the band that currently sit there, and doesn't each grass side hold 1500, so another 3000 total there you would have to gain back. I doubt you get more than another 2/3 thousand more than what you currently have unless you are going to do the 2nd deck also.

I don't think these conversations are happening in a vacuum. Players have agents and I'm sure they are keen on what the market value is for a QB of Grunkemeyer's pedigree. And the agent knows Penn State has $30M to spend on FB and the QB position is critical to success.
