***Official portal tracker thread***

Need one or two more elite Wide receiver with one being of Higgin/Lazard height, A proven not worn out running back and one 6'7 TE, then I will feel good with what this staff has brought in so far.
Are you saying the BG RB transfer is worn out? Because if so, yikes type of take here

Pettaway is 'not a proven' running back based on his freshman 2025 season. He had 72 carries for 365 yards with a 5.1 avg per carry. His long run was 34 yards and he had 0 touchdowns (rushing - not including special team stats). By comparison Hansen had 197 carries and Sama had 140 carries. Even Rocco had 86 carries.

Well they aren't reporting those wages at all because youtube told them if they mark exempt on the W4 they don't have to report it on quarterly payroll tax filings or a W2.

His exact quote was "this is a new trend for paying employees".
There is an old saying: the difference between tax avoidance and tax evasion is 5 years!

Is Cam Pettaway worn out?
I don't think so, but look at what Iowa got(L.J. Phillips Jr). Kid as a running back has excellent stats but he might be tired already and the competition in the BIG10 might be too much for him to put up big numbers like that. That's my point. So my ideal RB would be getting a kid from Texas, Georgia, Alabama etc who didn't play too much or never got a chance, but want to come to ISU to prove a point.

Honestly, I don't care what Iowa got. We also have two returning guys.

First five-star in program history???

Played in 9 and started 2 games, 1 pass defense. 3 star transfer with one season to play.

Last of the scholarship potential holdovers are:

Ka'Mori Moore
Ethan Stecker
Ryver Peppers
Vontroy Malone
Dontrell Holt
Garrett Rutledge

Word on any? Solely premium info? (If so, why?)
Saw the first RB alluded to early in the portal process from Monmouth & was super productive went to... Miami(OH)?

Had a lot of carries last season (and maybe the season before), but wouldn't have thought the tread was off the tires. Didn't seem so have the speed our 2 RBs additions have. Neither have had many carries, but would appear we are going with a talent-based approach. Definitely have speed.

Would think we have adds in skill positions yet, but difficult telling what slots we have available until we know about all prior players & who is staying or not.

Portal closes for entries tomorrow so I would guess if they aren’t in by now, they’re staying.

There's been tidbits on a couple of them on premium. I think they keep it on premium because it's not final until the player announces, or until the portal is closed. They don't want to publicly say "I'm hearing good things about so-and-so staying" when it's not 100% done.

If they don't enter by tomorrow (portal closes), do we assume they are staying?

Ryver peppers is 99.9% staying

Would there be any advantage to wait this long to just enter the portal? I can't think of any.

With that in mind, I've assumed any who have not announced are staying.

My guess their agent can field calls, but they aren't giving up their ISU scholarship by entering the portal.

But at this point would think the players would have made public affirmation. But maybe those 6 players staying isn't 100% their choice.

Other than Malone, all are young, so hopefully the staff has interest if they are good fits.
