In passing. I don't think he's a bad guy at all and it wasn't the sense that I got. Just not very talkative and a no nonsense demeanor. I just think that type of coach is going to have troubles in this college football landscape.

So you’d rather have a coach that most everything he says is “coach speak”? Give me the no nonsense silent type!

I was in Ames earlier this week and one big topic was the upgrade to the Des Moines airport so hopefully that's a big selling point for this kid.

I have no idea what kind of coach Jimmy Rogers will be. I have no idea what kind of recruiter Jimmy Rogers could be. But if he gets a kid who by the way is a former SEC offensive lineman, that is from California to commit to play in Ames, Iowa in the dead of ******* winter? We will be more than fine

I actually have two good friends who went to Penn State who are very much expecting a down year next year. That’s a sample size of 2 so take it for what it’s worth, but they’re not expecting a conference title or anything next year.

They were bummed that backup QB moved on for a one-year rental of Rocco. Especially off my scouting report that Becht has awesome intangibles and is a great kid. But is an average QB in the B12 with below average accuracy

It would be hilarious if Rogers assembles a pretty good team next year that goes 9-3 and does it in dominating fashion like beating conference teams 40-6.

After a couple of losses it will still be 'didn't like the hiring process!'.

Weighing in as well---as I see it, CMC took year to year ISU FB to a respectable level, but his pitch of winning Big 12 championships, getting into the CFP or even winning a game in the CFP were FAR from ever being achieved. And, this year losing to CU, ASU, etc. with the OC calls and other coaching errors which did not maximize the opportunities presented in those games indicates to me that CMC is going to have a very difficult time getting Pedo State to where the fans want it to be. Now hearing that there seemed to be a push by CMC to "force" JP into hiring Mouser as HC by what CMC might have said to the players during his "farewell" speech convinces me that he still does not have high level FB "CEO" level skills.

Fair point, although we were essentially 30yrds from a Big 12 title vs OU. So not far away.

That's just a crystal ball prediction, he hasn't committed to transferring here. Unless I'm missing something.

Was really hoping for a better option. Wasn't impressed with his ability to throw the ball. Missed some wide open receivers against ISU.
