***Official NFL Draft Thread***

A personnel man who works for a team drafting in the 20-32 range told us that his franchise will be passing on Te'o even though inside linebacker is a big need.

could be denver though.....

Doubtful. D-tackle is Denver's number one need and now that Elvis has left the building, they also have Defensive end to look at as well

My prediction for Dallas is they won't draft at #18 tonight, but that's not much of a revelation. I hope they end up with some solid Oline guys, and as always I'm praying they pick a cyclone.

I hope the Packers take Eddie Lacy. The guy has star potential and I think he would eliminate the Packers problems at RB. After that I think their biggest needs might be a SS, ILB, OL, and a TE.

There should be no surprises with my team tonight. The Chiefs are likely going to take Luke Joeckel with the #1 pick. I like Joeckel at #1 because there are no obvious offensive playmakers this year. Joeckel will bolster the Chiefs offensive line and be an upgrade over Branden Albert at the left tackle position.

Colts - If DJ Hayden or Xavier Rhodes is sitting there at #24, it's a perfect match of need and best player available. If both those two are off the board by then I'd love to see Grigson either trade down or out of the first round to recoup the picks lost in the Vontae Davis deal. That roster still has plenty of holes to fill even after a playoff appearnace and a splashy free agency run. The problem is going to be finding a partner to trade with; the consensus seems to be that this year's draft features pretty comparable talent from spots 20 through 50.

I think Lacy could be a steal for someone.

ESPN mentioning Eric Fisher as potential #1

very interested to see what the broncos will do, i don't see Te'o going to them but I could be wrong. If they stay at 28 I think the pick will be D-line or RB. They love Jonathan Franklin of UCLA but he probably wont be there at their 2nd round pick. I could see them trading out of 28 to pick up an early 2nd and another 4th. That way they can get one of the top RB's then address D-line, CB, and LB in the middle rounds

It'd be underwhelming if Fisher is going to be the #1 pick. I could be wrong and Fisher could become a multiple All-Pro left tackle, but he played against weak competition in the MAC, and Joeckel comparatively played against some of the best defensive lines in college football in the SEC. I almost wish that the Chiefs would trade down and go after a great defensive player because I believe there are tackles in the later rounds that would end up being better value picks than using a #1 pick on a tackle.

And the Cleveland Browns select.....Matt Barkley, USC.

I can hear it now.

I don't know if it'll be the Browns, but somebody will stupidly take Matt Barkley in the first round. That's the only way I see the later half of the first round getting jumbled up. If Barkley, Nassib, Manuel, etc. are still sitting there once the draft gets into the 20s, some QB starved team (maybe Buffalo or Jacksonville) will make a bad deal to move up and whiff on yet another QB prospect.

Joe Staley anyone?
