*** Official Milwaukee Brewers 2025 thread ***

The Brewers facing Ohtani at Milwaukee and there is an ad with Ohtani’s face right behind home. This made me laugh even though it’s probably 100% from the league.

Getting out-pitched but can’t get out-managed too. If you put Edman on, then a ball like that ends the inning. Murphy hasn’t blown me away with his decisions this series even though he’s pushed all the right buttons this year.

Because he is managing like these are regular season games. I'm under no illusion that even with Quintana and Woodruff they were going to walk past the Dodgers. Especially now, a group that prided themselves with not chasing doing exactly that almost every batter without fail. I know that group the Dodgers have is hall of fame quality.......but all they have to do is throw is down the middle a couple of times, and then off the plate.

The Brewers will watch good pitches, and then swing at stuff WAAAAAAAAAY out of the zone. Example.......Yelich. Just throw him two strikes down the gut, and then a curve low and away and he is out. Right now there are about 5 players who really have no need of a bat. Just walk up, look at the strikes and take your seat. This "wear out the starter" might work from April to September......but not now. Maybe Murph is like Counsel and a SNL "Not Ready For Primetime Player." Anyway great, great season regardless.

I’m in total agreement about how great the season was. Dodgers pitching is on such a heater that no one touch it.

But we get to quibble with some of the decisions. I think Murph is a good manager but did he have to go with Ashby again to start the game? Just to pitch to ohtani with no one on base? If you were always gonna go to Miz and let him pitch a few innings then just start him and let Ashby come in at a higher leverage spot.

All in all the crew is behind the eight ball but sometimes it’s a bit overmanaged and I think it makes the players tight. Let er rip! Hit the ball, steal bases, and throw strikes.

Really optimistic about the young guys getting this experience and a salary cap starting in 2028……..a guy can hope.

Hard to quibble too much with Murph when basically all of the starting pitching is hurt. Dodgers always click on when the postseason hits. Hard to compete when there is no salary cap and LA can just buy championships. Love the crew but they will probably never win a World Series with the rules as they are. Beating the cubs sure was fun tho.

:(I’m not going to pay attention, but go Seattle. Brewers may eventually be the only team never to win one

Hey I’m a Royals fan. It can be done. My little bro has been a Brewers fan since he was little so I follow them too. Been to many games in Milwaukee. I feel bad because he deserves a winner.

Brewers are an amazing organization, great team, great season.

But Dodgers are just better. And for $350m they should be.

I’m a huge proponent of doing something to even the playing field but the dodgers spend 70% of their revenue to payroll/taxes, which is second behind the Mets. The brewers are 24th and only spend 40% of theirs. Owners being cheap is something I am familiar with as a Redsox fan. Only one spot higher than the brewers and won’t spend any damn money.
