***OFFICIAL: KSU @ ISU GAME(DAY) THREAD***

Not a shot at any of our QBs - but it IS the weakest position on the field. We match up really well but no ability to run, no ability to control the ball or the clock, no big play ability anywhere on offense.

I would have to say WR is right there with QB as weakest position groups. We simply don't have the offensive skill players right now in the passing game to take it to the next level.

Receivers were not open on the last play. JB can't just sit there all day and wait for someone to come open. Inaccurate throws, bad routes, lack of effort on catches. It's not all on JB and to say Jantz would have at least gotten 1 first down is just stupid. He would be just as likely or more likely to turn the ball over as to get a first down.

Good game State, you played tough for 4 qtrs.
So on 4th down you just throw it into the ground, sounds like a solid plan.

And you missed where I said before jantz threw an int, an obvious tongue in cheek post.

Bring on Richardson if Jantz is not the answer. Find someone who can make simple passes and not have a million knocked down at the line of scrimmage.

Very disappointed that we abandoned the run for the first 4 and out drive. I think that sequence really got in JB's head and killed his confidence even before the very last 4 and out. He had no chance.

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD WE LOST TO THE #6 TEAM IN THE COUNTRY AND HAD 2 CHANCES TO DRIVE DOWN THE FIELD AND WIN.

DO ANY OF YOU REMEMBER WHEN WE USED TO GET BEAT 40+ to 3 EVERY WEEK???

STOP BEING SUCH A BUNCH OF LOSERS AND BE HAPPY THAT THE PROGRAM IS GOING IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION!!!

OUR GUYS PLAYED A TOUGH GAME AND LOST. IT HAPPENS!

Strong effort today. Win or lose, ISU has made it clear they aren't a team to take lightly, by anyone. I can easily see another 4 possible wins on the schedule (Baylor, OK ST, Kansas, and Texas). For WVU, that's a long ways off, and a lot can happen between now and then. But seriously, 8-4 is a possibility, IMO.

Sorry, but that's not us. Iowa State is no longer a "we did our best" kind of team. We need to be the ones bagging the prom queen. I could not disagree with your post more.

A couple of those were plays where Bykowski just got beat by the DE. He didn't make the block he needed to make to either engage the end of get him on the ground.

Would love to get away from the stupid zone read and get to a more pass oriented spread attack....sam richardson please

Can't begin to count the # of throws Barnett had time to make and his receiver had absolutely no chance to catch. Johnson was wide open on the 3rd and four. Young wide open on the first down of the last series.

Yeah, but mostly at QB... 16-37 cannot be acceptable for QB production... JB doesn't throw as many picks, cuz he's too busy spiking every pass into the ground 3 yards in front of him...

Part of that was the inability to keep them honest with the running game.
