Gawd, it would suck to go to Memphis again. Would much rather be relegated to the Cheezit, TBH, but I don't even think that is possible.
Liberty Bowl playing Memphis again would really really suck.
We’re gonna need Oklahoma in the playoff so we could somehow slide into the Texas Bowl
Cheezit is possible if the big 12 does not get into playoff AND does not get two into New Years six. Then Baylor would suck up a spot in Alamo.
I don’t think CWB is an option, think it will be Houston if we get 2 in the NY6 and Liberty if we get 1...I would guess Cincy in Memphis if we make Houston I will guess Miss St or Utah State
Memphis is way to good to be stuck playing us.
With OKState losing, that puts all other bowl eligible Big 12 teams at 5-4 besides Baylor and OU. Iowa State has only beat Texas out of the other 3 teams that are 5-4 (OKState, KState, UT).
So yeah, it’ll be Memphis for us, 100% guaranteed. It’s even got the absolute worst start time on a weekday afternoon. Perfect.

Seriously, wouldn't most ISU fans rather go to Phoenix than Memphis?? I know I would.
5th, due to the tie breaker win over Texas, but losing the tie breaker against KState and OKState.
Very true, so the Big 12 will have a round-robin sort of thing for the four 5-4 teams which take into account point differential as well.

I would but we would probably get a better turnout at Memphis due to being able to drive there and the date of the Phoenix bowl (2 days after Christmas) isn't great.
Fans, absolutely. But it’s a “worse” bowl in the selection process. I do love cheezeits though...
Our bowls don't have to pick in the order of finish so Jamie would probably angle for us to go to Houston or Phoenix before yet another trip to Memphis.
