Purdy was so money in fact that he took the best ISU football roster ever with several NFL players on both sides of the ball to a 7-6 season.

We can play this game all we want to folks. Did Dekkers probably cost us this game today.... no doubt. Did Purdy cost us games in his career at ISU..... no doubt. Did Purdy also have a lot more talent to work with than Dekkers.... no doubt.

We'll see how this all plays out for Dekkers. He's got a long ways to go yet before he's done here. One thing we do know.... this staff has a way with destroying QB's.

Agreed, he did some good things here and I'm glad he made an NFL roster, but man he made some stupid plays over the course of his career. Multiple games he had the chance to lead them back in the final minutes and ended up choking.
