I disagree, up until this game Batemon was shooting at 47% from 3pt and even after this game he is 39%. From all accounts in the preseason. Batemon was labeled as one of our potential shooters and was brought in as someone that can hit 3's at a successful clip as a freshman.
Early in the season he was one of the few guys that was hitting on their 3's whenever one else was struggling and often was the guy that broke the seal on the 3-point shooting.
If anything, I want him working on his game vs trash opponents so that when conference play starts, he has the confidence of coming off the bench and hitting a few 3's.
In post game Batemon talked just about this, how the staff wants him developing his game beyond just 3 point shooting in these tune up games like EIU. He had a rough game, but game minutes is more valuable than practice. I also think Batemon gets his shot off a little bit faster than Milan.
