****Official Class of 2016 Recruiting Thread****

Well if ISU doesn't get a transfer PF/C or a scholarship opens up late in 2016...

Chandler Park Academy (Mich.) 2016 forward Jalen Martin w/26pts,11rebs tonight. Going to Iowa State for football

Football owes basketball a player. We likely lost a national championship because a football coach stole a good player from Tim Floyd. I do think we would have beaten Michigan State had Andy Stensruud been playing basketball instead of football (and been developed accordingly).

Jhaustin Thomas? when he signed with South Carolina out of HS he planned on playing both.

JUCO stats aren't amazing http://www.njcaa.org/sports/mbkb/2012-13/div1/players/jhaustinthomaswt6b

but dude is 6'6 265

Believe he works for D.C. Area hoops.

Probably Jareem Dowling, the head coach of SPI. Never heard of SPI, but the website gives the feeling of Pennsylvania's version of ABCD Prep.

if the staff is offering 2016 kids still they're anticipating someone leaving.

any guesses?

Remember, Lard supposedly is a risk to even be eligible, but I guess he's not on your list. So either Carter goes to a level he can play, which doesn't have to be a negative thing, but perhaps what's best for him. Or, Ashton goes back to walk-on status, and no I don't think that's cruel. Let's just hope its not issues for Malou.

Most with inside knowledge have said that Lard will never play a minute for ISU. I also think it's a given that Ashton's scholarship was only for this year, and I don't think it's going far out on a limb to say that someone else will leave. It happens almost every year.

He's the head coach of the Scotland Performance Institute which is the Prep school he's playing at.

I could be wrong of course

You are right, I clicked a link on the Hoya site and it took me to DC area hoops so figured he worked for them.

Hey let's all bag on Carter because he is not an all world freshman.

THIS. Jesus, the kid is a freshman that showed up on campus like 2 weeks before school started. True freshman big guy rarely have a significant impact, much less ones that are late getting signed and on campus.

Not trying to say carter is a future all big 12 player, but give the kid some time to develop and he'll be a contributor.

Someone will likely transfer creating space on the scholarship chart. Not worth worrying about who. It'll likely work out.

One post calls Check 6'11" and says can jump out of the jym. Has added 20 lbs of muscle.

He looks like a grown man. Also I read somewhere that he has only played basketball for a couple of years so his ceiling is off the charts.

Per Corey Evans Twitter: Iowa State, Maryland, Gw, and Providence here for 2016 SPI big man Cheickna Dembele and the Bill Crothers program #npsi

ISU watching Dembele again. Hopefully we've found ourselves a nice under the radar big.
