Disappointed, but not surprised. We have to remember how late ISU got in on most of these recruits with the new staff. This next year will likely be a step back. Hopefully ISU can pick up a couple of good additions this Spring, whether those are high school or Juco, building on the likely success of this year's team. Transfers that have to sit out a year won't do much good at this point.

We all have to be patient at this point, which won't be easy, given the success of the last few years.

Honestly I know to some it's kind of a joke around here but in all seriousness do we even have a chance with Antetokounmpo at this point? Also Micah Thomas?

Unless the staff can land a couple of high recruits this week or in the Spring, I think it is something we need to get ready to accept. I don't see anyone yet on the team or coming in to take the place of the likes of Niang, McKay, Long, Nader and possibly Monte. That is more than ISU has had to replace in any of the last 5 years.....especially considering that 3 of those guys have been here at least 3 years under Fred.

Well said and right on, imo, Doesn't say we can't be hopeful, just as supportive, or eventually successful. But the realists know the 2016-17 team is going to require patience.

That's one, although to say he can replace any of the big 3 or Nader is way premature, imo. I think Jackson can be good too, but honestly......with Jucos, you can never be too sure. Still a lot to replace......hopefully the expected success materializes this year and the staff can get a couple pick-ups in the Spring.

Unless something drastic happens, I see the 16-17 team being kind of like the 12-13 team. Some talent that needs to gel together, will have some great games, will have a couple of head scratchers, will be around a top 25 team, but not necessarily ranked and will make us be a little worried come selection Sunday, but still get in.

Morris, Cooke, Thomas, Malou, Burton and the rest should make for a pretty solid squad. I don't think it will be a perfect year, but that sounds like a roster that belongs in the mid-teens in the rankings. Wouldn't be surprised to see 25 wins in 16-17.

I want to hold off on prediction for wins for next years team until we see how the new guys play this year (Burton, Cooke, Carter) under the new coaching and we see what Prohm does with the two remaining scholarships. I would expect one contributing transfer to be added if not two. The team will have talent and projecting next year I see a firm NCAA team that flirts with the top 25 throughout the year.

First things first, interested to see if Prohm can get in on the Charlie Moore sweepstakes late and get a official. Cal should be seen as the favorite and it is tough to get in this late but, Moore has got to be intrigued with playing PG in a SP offense. I think he'd be a good fit for future need and the system.

I wish I had some kool-aid like you. We have been spoiled, Fred was the rumpelstilskin of BB he found a way to weave gold with anything. 2 this will be ratings wise the lowest talent team we have had in a while. We have had 4-6 4* on our roster each of the last few years and next year. We will have just 3 next year unless we add a couple or some get upgraded. So we will be young and less talented. We may be good but it shouldn't be expected.

Norvell just chose Gonzaga, little dissapointing but nice to see ISU was in late on him and still a top choice for a talented kid like him.

You're underestimating how difficult it is to win 25 games. I'd take 22 and be very happy. It also depends on how the Big 12 looks next season. Seems like all the talent returned this season, so I would expect a dropoff. Making the tournament would be a good accomplishment for Prohm next season. It's going to take an impact transfer, and I'm confident we will get at least one.
