Official CF traveling for work thread

dumps taken gotta be like 500 right? 400 in airport. 100 mile high?
2 in the air. I refuse to sit down on those seats. One was Japan First Class and they cleaned after every person. The other was quite an emergency and I'm lucky I wasn't on Twitter or something embarrassing lol

Airport? Hundreds for sure.

Trying to book a specific hotel in Seattle and our travel website isn’t pulling it up.

I’ve been coming to LA one week per month this year, since that’s where my company is based. I wouldn’t want to come more, but it gives a good balance of working in the office vs from home.

For the first half of my career at ISU, I traveled a ton. When I woke up each morning in a hotel, it would take me a few seconds to remember what town I was in and where the bathroom was.

Got off the road for the second half of my career and I didn't miss it one bit.

There was a really good movie several years ago that reminded me a lot of what it was like being on the road all the time.

Finally was able to wind down work travel this year to around once per month after 8 years of 60-100 flights and 80-100 nights per year on the road. Had a flurry of like 12 out of 15 travel weeks towards the end of last year and it finally broke me. I used to love work travel, then I enjoyed it, then I tolerated it, and at least right now, I hate it.

Never have done that much travel for work but I definitely went through that cycle. Now I get out of as many trips as I can and when I have to go I mostly dread it. I don’t mind the flying/working, it’s just all the free time you’re giving up.

I have a similar experience from time to time. At home, my dog sleeps right next to me. She's always tucked up against my legs. When I'm on the road, I often wake up and my first thought is why isn't she there? What's going on?

Read this in a Talking Heads Once in a Lifetime tone.
