While Senegal’s strategy is the correct one to win this game, putting 10 guys in your defensive zone to drag the game into a stall doesn’t make for the prettiest game to watch.

Yeah, they were very aggressive in the first 5-10 minutes of the game but now they look like USMNT ca. 2008.

France seems to be sleepwalking through this game and almost found themselves down 1-0.

Why do they only have one ref? On that last play, Senegal had a fast break, then basically got shoved out of bounds inside France's box. The ref hadn't even crossed mid-field. So he has to make a call from like 60+ yards away.

I’m not a big fan of the new electronic offside system. That last attempt was so obviously offside, but the side refs seem to all be holding off on raising the flag until after they get some kind of confirmation.

I’m always in favor of letting the play go for offsides. I get that there are some that will seem obvious, but the side judge doesn’t always know when the ball is kicked as they’re focusing on where the recipient is relative to the defender.

Could France field two teams that would both win their group? They seem loaded even on their bench.
