Agreed but, the umps have it worse. No cool down in dugouts. They had 2 suffer heat issues on Monday. One went to the hospital
The ump at my nephews U12 state game on Saturday night went down with heat exhaustion. They called the game for 30 minutes and said they'd pick up an ump from another game. Nobody showed up so they waited around for 30 and finished with the one ump they already had. With the amount of games going on all weekend for state tourneys, I can imagine those people are working the entire day.

Currently beer in hand, steak on grill. Heavenly.
Our basement used to be this way. Water level would come up and it would seem in from floor cracks and wall cracks. Dehumidifiers couldn't keep up.
Got a new water heater 2 years ago. Rheem heat pump water heater. Acts like a dehumidifier and it eliminated that issue for us. We got a big rebate and prices have gone up 20-30%. From an electricity standpoint, ours would pay for itself is 5-6 years. Current costs with no rebate it would be double. Once you take into account how much electricity savings for not running a dehumidifier, it's probably already paid off for us.
If you have an old water heater, might be worth investigating.
I know it rains and storms every few days in Iowa this spring/summer but not so much up north. Sliding back into drought after a 10 day run of little rain and 90° temps. Got few days repriieve on temps and than back to 90°s agin.
Looks like I picked the wrong week. I was out by Sturgis all last week and it was hot AF with a side of wildfire smoke to close out Thurs/Fri.
Be careful with this rain talk. My last rain was the 4th of July. I could use a good rain. There are spots close to my fields that are probably gone for this year. Now they burn up a lot, but they are gone for this year.
Kossuth, Winnebago, and Hancock are in that brown moderate drought bubble on the map. Hills are in trouble but overall we still look good. A few 1 inch rains would be good though.
