This was the second consecutive storm in the last week where there were no audible sirens in Ankeny east of I-35. I guess we only need to be warned when the severe weather is around the DSM airport?

Me too. We are in our new house after rebuilding after last years tornado. Can’t be too relaxed anymore.
13 only had Gabe Pro there. I thought he did a great job by himself though. 13 has an elite weather team.

As active of a pattern as we are in, I’ll be shocked if we don’t see some major straight line wind event in the next month or so
yep dry here (we live on a hill). it's only ran for about a week total since we moved in 4 years ago now.
As of yesterday the forecast for central Iowa is calling 110 heat index on Wednesday and 107 on Thursday. I'll take rain.

Nutrient (Snodgrass) was talking about the potential for derecho’s yesterday for the next few weeks.
Does catch the north end of the Des Moines River? Does it go to Mankato some how? Or go SW to the Sioux River? At work will look later. Water goes east to Redwood Falls to Minnesota River.
Streams north and south of Marshall drain into the Minnesota River. So east and to the Mississippi. About 20 miles south would go through Windom and the Des Moines River through Estherville.
Holy. That's where my mom's side of my family is. I should probably check in with them.
