Been outside doing lots of garden work the last few day and the mosquitoes are dense and aggressive. Not paying a big Blood Tax since I am DEET'd up but, damn, they are annoying as hell.

So what's your bug forecast? Figured it's weather related since AccuWeather has a mosquitos forecast (and Mpls area is not good).

Picked up .7” of rain this morning in North Ames.

Talked with a guy from Indiana and he told me northern part is really dry, central is OK, but a lot of acres in southern part never got planted due to all the rain.

Strong winds in N. Ames this morning between 3:30 and 4:00, rain was coming down, just checked my gauge and had 1.4 inches in it, but my gauge generally runs high. Still lot of wind and rain and the ground is still very soft.
