Watching the radar loop there is a circle that is spreading out from the cell by Gilbert. Similar to how a frontal boundary(correct term?) line looks, but this wouldn't be called that. Would it? Is it just fast moving moist air bursting out from the mometum of the downpour hitting the ground? Kind of like a mild down burst? I'm sure I'm using all incorrect terminology here so please correct me if I am. I just thought it was interesting and I don't recall seeing anything like it.

That’s called an outflow boundary. The cooler air from aloft coming down with the rain, hitting the ground and spreading out. Sometimes that can cause enough instability to generate more rain or even storm cells along that boundary.

Thanks! Also, it looks like you're spot on about the secondary generation. You can see where it fed a cell to the NE when it hit there.

Somewhat weather related because Mother Nature is now in charge of keeping everything green in Polk Co.

Speaking of… we getting any rain tonight?

Of course, ban kids sprinklers but not do a thing about the source of this. Such a great state we live in. At least this will distract from all the fish kills going on lately.
