If by bust you mean exactly what was forecasted to happen, happened. Then sure, it was a bust.
Why are you so chippy in this thread? Seriously asking here.

No rain here. No wind. No hail but had the sirens screaming 5 times over nothing.
What had been forecast all week was doom and gloom big winds and hail. Turned into a big nothing burger. But sirens blaring 5 times.

Any hail in Ankeny? I was stuck inside without access to windows or good cell phone reception when it hit.

Behind you
I opened my contact solution bottle tonight and the pressure change made the solution shoot out the top!
Barometric pressure has been nosediving since about noon getting to crazy low levels, going to get under 29 inHg overnight then slowly climb back up tomorrow.

Because the whole "didn't happen at my house, so it was a bust" schtick is stale. Weather folks take a lot of crap when they're wrong, so I think it's equally fair to put the shoe on the other foot.

The forecast was for lower rainfall amounts due to fast moving storms, with widespread strong winds and scattered hail. That's exactly what we got across nearly the entire state.

Went for a short walk this afternoon and you could tell the weather couldn't quite figure out what it was going to do.

Had the look to the west of some rain coming in, but the feel of just a cold front with not much else.

Was fun watching it roll into NE Iowa. It was fast moving, but the angle of the line relative to the motion made it look like it was crawling along. Good lightning show for a bit. Made it feel like spring. Sirens did go off for high winds.

Oof. Power was still attached to the roof it looks like.
It looks like it was. My in-laws farm outside Guthrie Center- I’ll have to see if my wife can get more info on what the building actually is/was. I know they have a pretty old downtown area

I am totally fine with the forecast we got. I’m glad we seen no winds or hail. I hope the damage from wind or hail is minimal where it did hit.

What I’m complaining about is the sirens blasting 5 different times when there was no wind, hail or anything wthin 15 miles of me justifying a siren once, let alone 5 times. That desensitized people to ignore sirens.

PDS watch issued for Arkteniltucky.

Also I see a lot of whining in the DesMoines subreddit. There was a moderate chance of severe weather hitting the area. Severe weather hit the area. Shut up.

But it didn’t happen to ME so it doesn’t count!! BUST-O-RAMA
