Sons in KC picked up groceries and ice melt yesterday and said there was hardly anyone at store. Maybe panic waiting until today?
Not my experience in the KC area yesterday, craziest I have ever seen my neighborhood HyVee.

The pickup line at Walmart in Independence on Friday night was absolutely crazy (I saw it while driving by). Yesterday morning at Pride Chopper in LS wasn't bad.

Yeah my boys are in LS too. One of them bought a house and the other rents from him, so first time since they were with us they are doing their own snow removal. I made them go to the hardware store when they were home at Thanksgiving for a couple of shovels and ice melt. Will see how it goes.

They can both work from home when they want so hope they just stay home for a few days without killing each other.

@carvers4math you in the snow zone? how did your boys end up?
Nope. My weather app says it’s snowing right now but my eyes say nope.

My boys in Lee’s Summit say that they mostly have ice. I think they are now getting snow on it. They decided to make chili since ordering pickup, their usual crap, is not feasible. Still have power so gaming continues. If they lose that it won’t be pretty.

Unfortunately another kid is visiting friends in DC. Stuff supposed to hit there tomorrow, maybe a foot. When we lived there, three inches could just down the federal government. No one knows how to drive on it or have the right tires and once the Metro is on above ground rails, they are screwed.

Perfect timing...not like there is anything important happening there the next few days. DON'T TAKE THIS TO THE CAVE.

Anywho after this system gets through it looks like sunny and cold will be the headlines through at least next weekend. Highs in the 20s and next to no clouds.
