What about lease vs buy decisions?511ia.org would be a better source than CF if you’re worried about driving conditions. Not everything posted here is meant to be taken seriously.
Drizzly and low 30s here around Ames. High winds. I expect icing soon.
Man, I’m all for running when it’s 10 degrees and no wind, but this just sucks. Kudos to you though, takes a lot running in this.Timed my run perfectly it looks like! Didn't get too much freezing rain, and turned to snow during it. The wind sucks running into though.
This is definitely getting close to my limit! The snow was better than the freezing rain though.Man, I’m all for running when it’s 10 degrees and no wind, but this just sucks. Kudos to you though, takes a lot running in this.
Yeah, but "THERE'S SOMETHING IN THE MIST!"I like the fog/mist with no wind. It's very peaceful.
Today, though, is not peaceful.
Algona travel is not advised. Visibility is less then 1/4x1/2 mile.where?
Son took off almost an hour ago. Was supposed to be a pocket that didn’t develop, guess he should have taken off the 30-45 minutes sooner that he held off on. Heading east so I hope he runs out of it somewhat.Algona travel is not advised. Visibility is less then 1/4x1/2 mile.
Slight nerd out here. I often think about generations before us and how they handled weather that we experience now. I imagine something like that would be one of their main warning signs.Within the last hour, the temp has dropped 13 degrees here in the Laplands and the cows have all moved south to the hoop buildings...some of them were running. Who needs NOAA? Cows will never steer you wrong.
Sheep will, though. I have seen a flock huddle together against the fence in the corner of the pasture during a rainstorm. Meanwhile, there is a lean-to shelter in the opposite corner more than big enough to contain them all.Within the last hour, the temp has dropped 13 degrees here in the Laplands and the cows have all moved south to the hoop buildings...some of them were running. That, and the "rheumatiz" in their joints...Slight nerd out here. I often think about generations before us and how they handled weather that we experience now. I imagine something like that would be one of their main warning signs.
Just wanna make sure I'm understanding you correctly. You'd take this crap over fog and 40 some degrees with no wind?Almost out of the worst month of the year. December always gets my vote for worst. Shortest days of the year, and it always seems like we have this foggy gloomy crap for some of it. Think I’ll prefer the blizzard to this.
