Had to drive from Mason City back to the Ft. Dodge last night after work. Was able to leave a little early while it was still light and I am glad I did.
Visibility was off (bad but manageable) and on (no issues) for most of the trek down 35. Same when I got off @ the Woolstock exit. 4 miles outside of town on a county road it got real and I had to stop and wait it out with a couple of other cars. We were right next to an acreage and couldn’t see their driveway (even with their yard light on). After about 20 minutes the squall subsided enough and we were able to creep in to town. Easily the worst driving conditions I had even encountered.
