It shouldn’t matter because the Cubs ******* print money. You traded a serious asset for him. It is NOT okay to rent a player at that price to not make the playoffs. “Going for it” should mean “can win the World Series” not “might make the playoffs”.

Otherwise, you ******* sign him, and I swear to god I’m so sick of listening to billionaires whine about money.
To be fair, just because you’re mad doesn’t mean the cubs still shouldn’t make the playoffs.

They are 90+% in every projection and should only get better this week.

Brewers haven't been great today, but they've taken advantage of Cub miscues, while the Cubs haven't taken advantage of Brewer miscues.

It's been a struggle recently and the Cubs Ed stressed, not loose, not having fun. I do expect a turnaround at some point, with Happ and Suzuki getting hot. The pitching, however, ...

The Brewers are infuriating to me, as imo they don't have as much talent as other clubs, including the Cubs. But they play situation baseball like professionals. Like ten times better than we do. THAT is why they are winning. We can't get out of our heads....
Cubs offered the “big manager money” to the wrong guy in Milwaukee.
Brewers don’t miss Counsell in the least. But Counsell sure misses Pat Murphy.
Brewers have the superior manager. And their payroll is half that of the Cubs’.

PCA drops a fly ball. Suzuki is in one of his slumps. Tucker can't hit. Happ's been dog **** all year.

This outfield is in trouble.

IMO teams have changed how they pitch to Suzuki the last month- everything low & away.

The offensive struggles are putting pressure on Hoyer to trade for Suarez. But he's not in the lineup again today, so I'm sure that complicates matters.

IF Suarez isn't an option, the Cubs should add Ramon Arias with the Orioles. Solid .250 hitter with some pop in his bat and former GG. Plus, Arias should be cheap now that Westburg is back playing the field after a couple injuries. Platoon Arias with Shaw and Arias is an upgrade over Berti & Brujan.

Would think the O's will go everyday with Holliday/Westburg as their 2B/3B combo over the balance of the season. Who knows, the Orioles might also try Henderson at 3B & Holliday at SS.

Again, the offense is in a slump. Cubs still have the 2nd highest runs scored this season. The pitching should be the only concern right now. That has consistently been a problem all season.
