Flexen was the guy sent out to wear it last night and gets DFA'd today.

Baseball remains a tough business.
He was the worst starting pitcher on the worst team in Major League history just one year ago and has given up 15 runs his last 5 appearances.

His role is to be a multi relief guy. We won’t need him after 7/31. And he wouldn’t pitch today or tomorrow because he threw two yesterday.

This was an easy DFA

No argument here...

Mo Baller not in the lineup after a day off is weird. Amaya is starting, but you’d think MoBaller would DH at a minimum.

Maybe they’ll have him come off after a few innings for Amaya, but they also just activated Caleb Knight. Who comes off the bench could be very telling.

Brewers just manufactured a run with a bunt to move runners to 2nd and 3rd. Cubs should do this more often especially with Swanson.

This is why the Brewers are able to do more with less. Cubs have definitely gotten better this year at manufacturing runs but still a ways to go to get to the Brewers level.

We are better this year? We squandered so many opportunities. I expect strike out when Swanson is batting with a runner on third base with less than 2 outs. Brewers are already 2 for 2 today.

What's keeping me through:

Amaya could be back as early as Friday
Assad and Taillon should be back in 3 weeks.

You're probably adding 4 people if Jed decides to get off his ass in the next 48 hours.

That's a 25% roster turnover.

I don’t trust Jed. He will bring in some mediocre players. He will make an excuse like “we didn’t want to sacrifice our future. Caissie has Otani like potential “
