*** Official 2025 Chicago Cubs Thread***

It didn’t sound good listening to Pat and Ron. That video looks really bad.

Argh, wanted this game with a very tough one (Skenes) coming tomorrow.

Damn hope that guy pulls through. So hard to watch a human body fall like that. My already high anxiety with heights and the possibility of somebody falling is going to be so much worse. Next time we go to a game my kids better be ready to army crawl if they want to get close to the railing.

I was there. Incredibly surreal feeling. Ballgame seemed to not matter after that. Very weird feeling even going into today.

I think he landed on his head/neck. I don't expect good news from the next release from the team. That statement they released was very 'we're just buying time so that we can tell family before releasing a name'.

Trying to find the article online but Sean was reading something shared on Twitter this morning that was from a first hand account of someone 5 rows behind where the guy fell over. Apparently he was drunk and got excited on that play and lost his balance and flipped over the railing.

Read the same earlier today.

Yeah, drunk was my first assumption. It's not just that he fell, it was as if someone dumped a dummy over the wall. No attempts to grab the wall or turn his body.

Can you imagine Wrigley if the Cubs had Paul Skenes on a weekday at 76 degrees? In Pittsburgh, maybe 13,000 scattered around the park. IMG_3149.jpeg

Getting some guys on against Skenes but can't get the clutch hit. At least getting his pitch count up a bit so hopefully goes just 6 innings tops.
