Every time I think this team is going to cave, they respond. Literally getting 2016 vibes right now.

Trading for a 3B that can hit has become almost as big a priority as a SP. Cubs also desperately need one guy on the bench that can hit the dang baseball with authority. Add in a true 8th inning reliever, and that should be the shopping list. Not sure they need two SPs like some keep asking about. Starter #5 usually gets left off the playoff roster anyway.

Going to likely be down to a 1 game lead after tonight. Things are starting to get spicyyyyy.

What’s interesting is I wouldn’t overly be surprised or pissed if the Cubs just collapse. Pressure is going to start to mount after the break. I’d just be very much disappointed.
