Yep, me too. It was shifty for us too. Thought I was going to need all of my normal club for a par 3 because the wind was in my face, and then it switched to a tailwind and I sailed the green.
We had a par 3 directly into it. A smoked 3 wood (250 yard club in normal conditions) still didn't get there (197 yard hole). One of those off the face you're like "oh **** get down get down get down" and then it's 10 yards short of the green.

Lol, yeah. I used my 140 yard club for a 110 shot and got absolutely all of it (going over a huge brushy area) and it hung in the air forever and almost looked like it was coming back at me, but it made it.

Also hit a 190 yard 9 iron with the wind. Had a creek short so I had to make sure to get over that, but I clubbed down since the wind was with me.

I love CF!
Earlier we were asked if this was a weather thread or a crop report thread. Now I don't know if it's weather thread or a golf thread.
Here's hoping everybody has an enjoyable weekend--WEATHER that be tidying up what's left to do in the fields or making that first hole in one!

We go from the windstorm of yesterday to what I'm seeing now of barely any breeze at all.

I'll take the latter.

Tornado Alley is moving. I'll link the article, but the pictures tell the story.

Not exactly sure.
And in the fall of 1980, we got hail just as soybeans were ready to harvest. Mine were green enough because they were planted late so I didn’t have much damage. Some fields were a total loss.
Last year we had corn shredded a week or two before combined started rolling. Hurt a little but not a huge amount.

Except for some severe storms, the month of May was absolutely awesome for Iowa with its moderate temperatures and drought busting precipitation.

Unfortunately, I'm afraid it will soon be time to brace ourselves for the inevitable hot and dry conditions that the next few months are gonna bring.

I miss May already.
