Some of the livestream/videos this afternoon showed the blades being carried up and around as the tornado passed over them. Truly awesome in a unique way. Trying to imagine the force necessary is impossible for me.

No, it’s just scrap metal now. Some scrap yard will be trying to figure out how to unload that from a trailer.
5 minutes of rain and a couple close lightning strikes, that's it. The wind earlier today when it was clear was stronger.

Used to drive through Greenfield every day on the way to work (from Cumberland to Indianola). I always thought it was a beautiful little town, and this is just devastating.
Quick glance shows patio furniture roughly where I laid it over so im hoping this was more bluster than bite. Certainly the tornado warnings here were just radar/ pre emptive for spin ups. Nothing like iowa.

Probably a good time to remind people that a decent safe is a good idea. Ours is like a 2' cube. I have our passports, social security cards, birth certificates all in a fire rated pouch inside the safe.
Yes it was, same thing happened 2 decembers ago down by Grand Junction Iowa.
Sounds like they put a curfew in place for Greenfield tonight and basically shut down access to the town to deter looters. Sad that could be a problem that people want to exploit someone's tragedy.
Saw a post shared by someone that lives near there. One of their neighbors is missing a 24 foot livestock trailer that got blown away from their farm. They've found most of their equipment but not their trailer.
