Right now it's forecasted to stay above freezing for the low and just rain, so if that holds then it should be fine.

I couldn't understand what the loud boom was in the first video. It didn't appear the engine hit the tree so I was very confused. This video explains it more. Yiiiiiikies.
I lived in St Louis for a couple of years. If there was a dusting of snow the city might as well shut down, drivers down their can't handle it. I will give you the ice, it sucks but is usually gone in a day or 2. Big ice storm in 06 I think, lost power for a week and had a tree branch full of ice crush my Buick Park Ave, that was a sad day.
When is this for? Tonight? That's not what the forecast discussion says for central Iowa right now.

Roads in Indianola are fine. Parking lots are bad and seem to be getting a bit worse since I got up at 5.
Roads were fine in the metro. Got from North Ankeny to Urbandale easily. Seems to be just rain
Driveways are glazed over but my wife is not having an issue getting downtown.
No one gives a **** about Linn Co....
No problems from Wiley Blvd to Marion a few minutes ago. Roads just wet and a bit slushy. I am sure they put a billion tons of salt on everything last night.
Driveways & sidewalks otoh.... hold on to your butts.
