Asking again, but what does Friday look like for the central part of the state? Des Moines area. Seeing probably eastern and southern getting more but potential here for a decent snowfall?

Friday will be windier with fluffier snow.Man I just wish it wasn’t going to be as windy again. That sucks.
Just think, you could have had a T-shirt saying, "I won by four inches!" That's saying something, while saying something else.Lived on Friley all four years. Won an intramural wrestling championship because of a 4 inch snow fall. My competitor lived in Boone and chose not to make it for the finals, which were held in Beyer. So won by forfeit. I never complained about a 4 inch snow fall after that.
My brother was mad at me for winning by forfeit and he wanted something else written on the tee-shirt.Just think, you could have had a T-shirt saying, "I won by four inches!" That's saying something, while saying something else.
That’s one hell of a cutoff between dsm and ames. Will be interesting to see if it tracks north or south
Hopefully south. I don’t want snow if it’s gonna be 50 mph wind gusts. That’s one hell of a cutoff between dsm and ames. Will be interesting to see if it tracks north or south
Maybe it’s changes in school district administration? I remember having school called off when the pavement was decent, but the country roads were bad and the buses couldn’t run. There was a year or two where I remember them deciding to run the buses on pavement only (after multiple days had been missed). I guess the idea was that we need to have school and the country kids could get to the bus via tractor or 4WD?They are way more often now. Roads are partially covered and even normal between here and Ames and school is closed. No snow falling and no wind. This wouldn’t have happened even 15 years ago.
you still got that shirt???Lived on Friley all four years. Won an intramural wrestling championship because of a 4 inch snow fall. What is the internal body temperature of a TaunTaun?Wind chills next week look brutal. Time to get the TaunTauns out of the stable.
Not sure. 20 years ago I did. Still have the brackets and the story in the Daily. I think the tshirt became a paint rag.you still got that shirt???
Baby oil? Be careful, you'll go blind if you keep at it.....Just picked up more oil, ready for round 2.
Quite a few schools still run hard surface roads only after a snow storm. The country kids have to get to the pick up points, which are all spelled out in a newsletter before the start of the school year, or can call the school to find out where it is at.Maybe it’s changes in school district administration? I definitely remember plenty of snow days back around that time though. In fact, one year we did half a day on Saturday…
Dear lord. I hope there is less wind with this one. I’m already searching for more places to put the snow that I already have, and as it gets colder, it will get harder and harder to move.
