Hey it's a judgeme free zone.

The batteries expire but I just hope I live long enough for us actually to need more duct tape.

I was trying to scrapbook and for some reason he keeps dumping the duct tape on my scrapbooking table. There were 41 large rolls of duct tape stacked under my scrapbooking table! I don’t use duct tape to scrapbook!

I took two rolls of duct tape and put them on the shelf next to his tool box on the back porch. Put a sign there about the rest of it in a storage box in the work room in the basement. Told him where all the duct tape was.

He went to True Value for glaze for the windows. We now have 42 rolls of duct tape.

I tried using our electric snowblower for the first time today. I think seven inches was too much for it. Quit on my second pass. Hopefully I didn't completely blow the motor and it just needs time. :-/

One thing I learned from the pandemic is that those cloth face masks work great for keeping your face warm when shoveling snow.

Dry pocket coming through, lower snow amounts now

I just measured three different spots at our place in Clive. We are around 6.75 inches. Snow is still coming down pretty good as I type this. We also had snow off and on for around 2 hours yesterday that was melting as it hit the ground so I do not know what the true amount of snow is.

Husband used ours for the first time last night and it did great on that really wet snow. I think we’ll just make periodic runs with it today until it’s time to charge the batteries again.

Really really happy he’s work from home now. He had a 50 minute commute and we both would have been up super early trying to clear a path for him to get out of the driveway. Now he can help me clear snow throughout the day and I don’t have to worry about him on the roads.

Not at all. I could never get them tight enough around my face and then they get full of snot and condensation eventually just being cold, icy, and wet. I wish I'd had cloth masks doing calf chores out in this kind of weather for years.

The snow underneath is packed hard, which makes it tough to keep my snowblower from riding up on the packed part (which made the whole process a bit of a pain in the ass).

My experience as well. Although I bought some Teflon snow/ice repellent spray product from my local Ace and sprayed the hell out of my ~25 year old MTD blower last Sunday. My god, does that stuff work well. No joke, it was like giving an old man a viagra. I was shooting snow almost across the street this morning.

Yeah, sorry, he's a SVP, not THE VP lol - he's been there about 20 years, they have plenty of money. They hire out things like lawncare & hanging Christmas lights, but guess he likes playing in the snow.

& I'm up at 5 everyday so it doesn't bother ME, it's just a **** move for those that aren't up at 5 am (like my kids). And again, to reiterate, **** move to do at 5 am when you've got nowhere to be***

But yeah, ultimately people can do what they want, some are just more considerate than others.

With all the stories of packed snow, I’m questioning whether I need to go out and take a first pass. I was planning on waiting until it stopped snowing this afternoon. It looks so peaceful out there from my window. I was hoping to avoid changing my opinion of snow until later.
