***Official 2024 Chicago Cubs Thread***

Man you never know what to expect with this Cubs team but if you look at the rest of the Cubs schedule it is VERY favorable for still somehow just being 4 back in the Wild Card.

These 4 series appear to be the toughest remaining:

August 12-14 @ Cleveland (and Cleveland has currently lost 7 in a row)
Sept. 6-8 NY Yankees
Sept. 9-11 @ LA Dodgers
Sept. 23-25 @ Philadelphia (Phillies could be resting some guys for the Playoffs by this point)

Finally get the bullpen fixed and we're starting to see holes in the starters. Hendricks seems to be good for about 4. Assad battles but takes so many pitches because he throws too many
non competitive pitches. Taillon did not look good at all last night. Constantly letting the leadoff on. Steele has even struggled at times. Killian hopefully can help down the stretch but I have my doubts.

I assume Brown we won't be back this season? He was having a solid year

Taillon's ERA would be under 3.00 if you took out the two starts against the White Sox.

Baseball, man.

Heart attack Hector. Any other closers you guys can think of in Cubs history that were guaranteed to **** around every time they were in?

Only guys off the top of my head are Marmol and Rondon at the end of their times.
Mitch Williams.

They are on the Fox 17 sub channel. No announcers however. Unsure if it's on purpose or not.
