Wow, keeping that in over this streak must of been really eating you up.I am looking at game tracker and we are getting sliced up on fielder’s choice botches and errors. Way to execute, Cubs.

Right now I'd put him 8th as potential starters when everyone is back.4th start since Weneski has re-entered the rotation
1 - 3 runs on 2 hits in 4 innings
2 - 5 runs on 5 hits in 5 innings
3 - 0 runs on 1 hit in 6 innings
4 - 11 runs on 10 hits in 4 innings
Unfortunately he wasn't great out of the bullpen, either.
You can solidify a pretty ******* solid bullpen if you have 5 guys in a starting rotation you can trust will consistently compete for your team 6-7 innings. Maybe he needs to be on the block.
Brutal day if this holds.
While yesterday sucked, I still don’t think this is a quality team and would like to sell at this deadline.
That being said, what the **** is Morel still doing in Chicago? I’m not sure he starts for any other team in the league. Dude has a chance to end the game in the 4th inning and grounds into a double play. Has a chance to extend the game in the 9th and is swinging at pitches out of the zone. He’s unreliable defensively. Get him off the ******* team.
A 4-3 roadtrip normally would be a good thing, but going 1-3 against the Cards hurts. Getting to the point where Cubs need to win series against NL teams ahead of them in the standings. Going 2-2 would at least be treading water.A win today still gets you a 5-2 trip.
I'm firmly in the 'stand pat' camp. You don't have guys that are going to bring back a ton anyway and mid-level MiLB guys aren't even really going to get a shot with how loaded the farm is.
Stay where you are and see if getting healthy gets this team to where it was in April/early May.
