Dang, thought it was uncomfy here in Mpls metro but checked your Ames weather and the dew point is sitting at 75 degrees. Woof. I thought the 70 degrees here was bad, although it is forecast to rise to 74. Since no posts here today I'm going to have to assume you peeps all heat stroked out.

Was gardening. Thinking I'll need to shower before I go workout which isn't something I'd normally do.

This morning was lovely. Wanted to go fly but the increasing winds along with them not being aligned with the runway cancelled that. This afternoon was getting to be brutal out at Palo Days with the kids.

You are correct. It's either incomplete or misguiding because just last year on July 6th Lamoni hit 100. And I'm sure others in that area did as well.

My son plays golf at CR Wash. Coach called yesterday that the golf meet on Wed is moved to Monday. Email a few hours later, golf canceled for today. Tee time was at 3pm.

Did the official reporting point record those temperatures AND be verified? I can record 108 at my house but if the Cedar Rapids airport which is the official reporting point for the area only records 99 that is what goes down.
