I could see him being asked to move on or simply deciding to after 2 years of getting his ass kicked in big 12 play
Rob isn't a starter, but he can give ISU a solid 10-15mpg. Look at today- 7 points & 7 rebounds. We have infinitely bigger issues than Rob Jones.

The building blocks are there with Lipsey, Watson, Biliew, Momcilovic, Hamilton, etc for next year, but we need some perimeter players who can score off the dribble and make jump shots. Having 3 point shooters is the most critical element of modern offenses.

Based on recent playing time, I am curious where Tre King and Ward fit into future plans for TJ. I like both players, but they might not fit TJ's system.

You’d be surprised. I think gopher fans are getting desperate. Not many votes but Beard is in the lead.

There’s about a zero chance UM would ever hire Beard. They like to check boxes and Beard as one checked that’s not on their list.

He's already around the 15 minute mark and is awful

if Watson or Ward don't take a leap up, I hate to suggest it, but then we better hope big Rob comes back to backup our transfer big. At least he has improved and is playing physical for good stretches.
I would take basically the most unknown big over Rob. I'd say people who wouldn't don't realize how much he's struggled by the numbers.

He had one of his best games ever today and the team lost ugly. If he's back, I'd hope it's a massively reduced role.

For people who disagree, I'd suggest you gain even a modicum of understanding of how offensive metrics work.

I would hope that Tre could be a major contributor next year. Not sure about Ward.

You're correct, but people genuinely don't understand how bad his metrics are and think that stats are bad in general.

A rudimentary understanding of basketball metrics would open people's eyes,

Guard play is a bigger issue but Rob has been an outlier in a negative way on offense through nearly 2 B12 seasons and is seeing essentially the same minutes as ever. I just have a hard time seeing Ward and King being THAT big of a problem defensively.

Not exactly sure.

Only thing I would be content having Rob around for next year is that emergency big if we have an injury or big foul trouble. About 2-4 minutes is the max I'd like to see him.

Isn't their coach Jeff Horner?
I think you are right. Dare I say Fran has identified another recruiting source to add to family members, legacies, fan boys, and kids that grew up in a 60 mile radius? Hawkeye fans will be ecstatic, he's finally gonna start using the transfer portal

Lipsey, Grill, Williams, Watson, King x 2, and the four freshman.

Omaha and Lipsey are locks to start. We need at least two dynamic wings who can play 1-4 on offense and guard 1-4 more than we need anything else.

We need experience and scoring like fish need water
