***Official 2022 Weather Thread***

DSM has finally upgraded to a blizzard warning. Just waiting on DVN now.

what are my odds???? Daycare just asked who plans to come in next two days. I said no to Friday but waiting to see next weather update before saying for tomorrow. 4 yr old is back to full energy but home today while DH and I are dying and IDK if we'll all survive this again tomorrow.

I can't like that post, due to 2nd paragraph.... but agree 100 on the ticks and Lyme... I know two people that have long term effects from Lyme disease. Both cases their doctor's basically refused to test for Lyme, so it they went a long time without treatment.
Yes. This poor girl was a great runner in high school and then went several years when some days were fine and others were dehabilitating. After multiple trips to specialists and experts, a PA at the local clinic recommended a Lyme test. Pretty hard to beat without a quick diagnosis.

Mine’s a lab mix and he is oblivious to the cold

Our Dalmatian hates it, but our lab just sniffs about. Did pick her paw up a couple nights ago because she spent too much time sniffing about. Needed out a few minutes later cuz she didn’t do her business.

I know with this expected wind, we will put them on the east side of the house. Neither dog enjoys wind all that much.

We have a black lab and she does not like cold at all. She barks to come in the house after just a few minutes. Our Chesapeake Bay retriever? Totally different story. LOVES this. Just sits on the sidewalk looking all around. I should add she LOVES when we rub her down with a towel after coming in. She's such royalty and can't get enough of it.
There are some flurries coming down in West Des Moines right now.

Based on channel 13s model Des Moines almost misses the first round of snow at 3ish. Literally right on the Polk county border line
