MPLS was supposed to only get a trace to 1 inch. We are at 3 inches now and roads suck. But I am not sure we are supposed to get much more than this.

it was never supposed to start until right about now. The morning stuff wasn’t part of the big storm.

I think a lot of people misread the memo. The start of the storm was supposed to be now (this afternoon) and continue thru Saturday morning. Also evidenced by a few posts in this thread.

66 with mostly clear skies...

I'd watch a storm roll through, take the kids sledding and even clear a driveway if need be- but I do not miss for a second having to try and drive in it and worry about whether everyone else knows what they are doing.

Be safe, Iowans.

I live in north Ankeny and I would say we've gotten about an inch of the heavy wet stuff. I'm fine if it stops now.

Been snowing pretty consistently in the Cedar Falls area all day. The drive home was not fun

As about an hour ago in the Omaha area it was near 40 degrees and things almost drying up. Was really kind of nice out. Now light rain but still 35-36. They called off schools here around 530 last night.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
