Totals in Ames area probably will be not much dry air dominating right now and it’s going east.

This early stuff was never part of the big storm they've been talking about. That's still on the way.

I love the people that try to downplay the storms with dry air talk. Can it happen? Sure. But at this point this close to it starting is kind of nonsense. Central iowa is going to get a good load of white stuff.

Ya there’s a certain amount of snow where it doesn’t matter. 5” or 9” doesn’t really matter in terms of travel concerns/road conditions/etc.

i think the breaking point is that 1’ mark that turns it in to a storm that causes out of the ordinary concerns.
