Unless something is way off, he’d be a sit-one-play-one. His clock started in 18-19, he didn’t play his first two years, and he played for 2 different schools over the last 2 years.

No. He played at State Fair JC in 18-19 and 19-20. Tennessee Tech in 20-21. UIC in 21-22.

I would be shocked if he didn't enroll at Iowa State for the fall semester and be immediately eligible for this season. He would play one season being a 5th year player.

Way up there
It's interesting we heard Tj mention that the freshmen would play and that based on last year, that was a scary thought and then they are contacting this kid...

Hypothetical. I'm pretty sure he'll be eligible this season wherever he goes, since he can late enroll for the fall semester still.

So I remember a deadline to enter the portal. Would that apply? I didn't see grad transfer mentioned. Any insight?

Ah true I forgot about the deadline, which was May 1st. He would probably need a waiver. Damn.

This will be his 5th year of college.

Missed the deadline and has already used the one-time transfer. I don’t see how he plays this year, especially since Tre King has to wait until January.

Of course, if the NCAA makes consistent decisions, it will be the first time.

I thought you threw all the transfer rules out in a grad transfer. I could be wrong

I think grad transfers are immediately eligible regardless of if they already transferred as an undergrad. But I think the deadline to enter the portal applies to both undergrad and grad transfers. I could be wrong. It's just ridiculous how complicated transfer rules are.

With the one-time no-sit transfer rule, the grad transfer is no more.

I'm guessing Petey does have good info most of the time, but with college kids and the recruiting world things can change very quickly.
