I wouldn't include Watson as a guard. More of a 3/4 type guy.
Even dropping Watson from that list- there isn't enough PT to go around. I would guess 3-4 guys on that list won't be on next year's roster.

His highlights rarely show him anywhere near the lane. He's a 3 in the truest form. 3s in HS don't make great P5 4s.
Not surprising at all, been pretty much a done deal since January.
Dad isn't giving him great advice. He's choosing to be a role player somewhere rather then first team all league but, hey, there will be a P6 patch on the jersey.
I wish Enaruna would bulk up on meat/taters, drink protein shakes, get buff, and become a 5.
I agree that Watson is a traditional 3.
But in today's small ball era he is more of a 4 than 2. He looks like a spot up jumper vs guy who is going to dribble/drive to get his points. In today's college game to be an effective 2/3, a player needs to be able to score off the dribble as well as hit the jumper.
Same goes from the defensive end- Watson will have more success guarding the 3/4 positions than a 2. In the HS game video, I watched him play, he plays a stretch 4. Perimeter on offense & paint on defense.

This is a bit antiquated. Do you think Ejim played the 5 in high school? With the prevalence of small ball, plenty of high school wings play in the frontcourt in college. Certainly the 3/4 role
Besides, your position is based on who you defend. Although Watson defends nearly 1-5 in high school, it’s hard to argue against Watson primarily defending 3/4 in college. His versatility will be an asset, but I’d be surprised if he is exclusively on the perimeter
I'll just say if you are still looking at guys based on numbers 1 through 5 for anything except who they may be able to guard, you're doing it wrong. I agree he'll play more on the perimeter in college, but most teams run with 4 guys around the perimeter usually anyway. There's no real difference to me between a 3 and a 4 on offense at this point anyway.
One of their other good players is 6'9, there are 3 or 4 guys on the team taller than Watson. Maybe he's not needed inside?
I'm also not shocked that they don't show any highlights of him defending the other teams 4. I haven't watched any full games of his so you might be right but highlight films aren't going to give you much besides dunks and 3's.
Watch him at a game and you'll understand that tact isn't exactly a strength.
Screaming at AJ to pass the ball on a night he had 29 and UNI won by 30 was my particular favorite.
Haven't seen a ton of UNI. Does he translate to power 6? He's a unique build of a player
