First model runs tonight have shifted the precip field further north. Have to see if things hold but up to Hwy 20 looks more in play. Previously Hwy 30 looked more like the cutoff.

Definitely not the Canadian GEM depicted in that other post, but they’re both showing a significant swath of 10-12 inches with Des Moines on the northern edge of that 8-10 zone. Again, not a prediction. But it’s telling. It’ll be interesting to see what the model runs tomorrow morning will look like.
I put off watching it at first because I wasn't jazzed about the alternative history take. When I got around to watching it I loved it, so many great and memorable characters!
I liked Brad Pitt in Kalifornia and 12 Monkeys, both against his typecast.
This looks a little different than their current map... NWS tempering down their own forecast?
