Since 1961, the most common score in the NCAA Tournament has been 69-67. It has occurred 15 times. This year 75-72 tied it when it occurred for the 15th time. Oral Roberts-Ohio State and Syracuse-West Virginia both had 75-72 scores. Here is a graph of the occurrences of each score.

1990 (#10 Texas, #11 Loyola Marymount)
2002 (#10 Kent State, #12 Missouri)

If one of UCLA, Syracuse or Oral Roberts wins, they will tie for the most. If two or more of them win, it will be the most double-digit seeds ever.

Alabama contributed in both years getting knocked out of the NCAA Tournament by LMU in 1990 and by Kent State in 2002.

If they lose to UCLA tomorrow night, this should be referred to as the "Bama Jinx!"
