For all the starz and offers the players recruited there have, the number of guys with the killer instinct you need in the NCAAs are few and far between.
Who even looks like they want the ball?
The answer is 1954. The question is "When is the last time that neither UCLA, Kentucky, North Carolina, Kansas or Duke played in the Round of 32 or later?"
You are probably right, but it depends on which team shows up. OU has played a much tougher schedule IMO.
Only cheering for KU for that reason. Not that I think they will beat Iowa, but they have the caliber of player where if they show up to play they can knock them off. Last thing I want is Iowa having to play a 15 seed, 10 seed and 14 seed to get to the Elite Eight. Gross. USC and KU are both meh though, so they got a really easy draw for the most part.
I don't want Iowa or KU to win, but I would rather Iowa win than KU. It probably comes from living in KU territory.
In addition to wanting KU to lose, I want USC to win since my son is a student there.
I just said the same thing to my wife. I want the big 12 to do well--it takes a tiny bit of the sting out of a bad season knowing ISU had so many close games against great competition if our conference opponents get far--but I cannot do anything to make myself actively root for KU. It's a weird place to be.
I look at KU this way. I can't stand them and do not cheer for them unless they are playing the Hawks. But KU already has the clout and has won national championships/made Final Fours. Their fans are obnoxious and that isn't going to get much worse because they are a blue blood and have won titles.
Now if Iowa were to ever make a Final Four, title game or God forbid win a national championship, you will have a whole new level of d-baggery from that fan base. ISU fans would have to leave the state of Iowa.

I am all on the USC train for that section of the bracket. Nothing against them, so FIGHT ON!
Opposite for me, but I live in eastern Iowa.
