Comprehensive beatdown all the way around. Now can the national media shut up about KU being the only team worth anything in the Big 12? Four separate teams in the Final Four in the last five tournaments. Two made the finals and one just won it. Big Ten? Still waiting since 2000.
Hey Fran is gonna win it for the B1G soon. Oh wait Fran chokes.

Yep, don't love that it was Baylor but it was time for Big 12 to win one (been 13 years). Especially a different team than Kansas.

Still think Tech should have won a couple years ago.

Imagine waltzing to a national title by dominating every single team in your path. Their smallest margin of victory was 9 pts vs Arkansas. They won by an avg margin of 15.3 pts. And they did it without getting lucky and facing a double digit seed later in the tourney. They beat a 16, 9, 5, 3, 2, and then the overall 1 seed. Props to Baylor.

This is 8th largest at 35.

1968 UCLA - 55
2016 Villanova - 47
1979 Michigan State - 45
1960 Ohio State - 42
1990 UNLV - 39
1949 Kentucky - 39
1952 Kansas - 36
2021 Baylor - 35

What was amazing is that 2016 was the year that Villanova won the championship game on a last second shot.

I can hate Baylor University with a passion, but still appreciate great basketball when I see it.

That was a thing of beauty.

I will dream sweet dreams tonight of envisioning JorBo trying to bring the ball up against Baylor, and trying to defend their guards.

It would have been much worse than Oregon. Like if Oregon had giant rebounding machines on the inside in addition to the wings and guards.

Nah you have had a holier than thou attitude all night toward people clearly just having fun and throwing a little shade at Baylor (again well-deserved for what that school did not that long ago). At the same time those same people know damn well in their mind this was impressive and can say nothing but good things about what this Baylor team just did. You are/were taking things WAY too serious in here. Relax man. You came at isucurt and others who had a difference of opinion on the defense being played like a maniac. People can have a difference of opinion on what they like to watch.

Okay sure thing my guy. I have an opinion that people take things too far when that is all they post about in here and bringing no other conversation. Isn’t that a difference of opinion like you say? Or nah?

I’m relaxed as all get out. Maybe you don’t need to attack my posts when you weren’t even brought up and take them so seriously? Just a thought though.

Have a good night.

The old days of knocking Baylor's Elite Eight runs because of who they beat were sad, but they're definitely over.

I’ll take the Big 12 championship. Now Drew can leave Waco anytime

If he hasnt left yet, he probably never will.

Its just incredible what he's accomplished there. Taking over a program where one player literally murdered another, that had had one ncaa appearance (a first round loss) in the prior 50 years and taking them to multiple sweet 16s, 3 elite 8s, and a championship. Like I think most people realize its a great build he's done there, but even then its still understated.

He is a helluva coach. It does seem to be understated what kind of job he has done in Waco. He will stay at Baylor but he should be the first call of any top notch program with an opening going forward.

Eickholt with an Eickholt-like take. Final score doesn't matter. Getting bounced in the second round doesn't matter. All that matters? Garza.

Trying to be fair to Iowa fans, this must be how they feel when ISU fans bring up Troy Davis and Seneca Wallace. Great players but what did they win?

With Seneca you can point to a very long and prosperous pro career. The Troy Davis comp is probably on the money if we're all honest in terms of just gaudy stats on teams that didn't really win anything.

With four extra teams to draw from and ridiculously high seeds that make it seem almost rigged.

12-8 Ohio State sure proved the Big Ten needed that 4th top 8 seed. 50% of the top 8 seeds. What a joke.

The games are physical in conference and the tournament. This was no exception. But the way Baylor played defense was artistic and nothing like Huggie ball a couple years ago. Watching them against Houston I just kept thinking, hands and feet. They are so good with both.

Maybe Drew will go to the NBA. Otherwise, Baylor might be hard to beat for a long time.
