Probably about the same timeline as TJ hired after Prohm was fired.
There's a hidden gem at UNI named bowen born. I think I'm the first to mention him.
Just tells me they are going for someone that is still playing the tourney.
Grill shot the three at UNLV like we expected when he came here out of HS. 34.6% vs 25% his freshman year at ISU
I like Grill in a reduced role, if he's coming here expecting to start, idk.
Not sure how I feel about Grill. He is either tethered to TJ or maybe he decides to go closer to home. WSU might make sense.
TJ's last recruiting class has pretty much entered the transfer portal- 3 freshman, Grill and Del Cadia (JUCO). Looks like Kevin Kruger is going to be replacing more than half his roster.
For Caleb, I imagine a lot would have to do with not just following Otz, but how well he got along with the players on the roster that are 'staying'. He would have played with Conditt, Javan(in practice), and Tre. Plus if he felt he improved his performance output because he was in a lesser profile conference and returning to the big12 isn't something he is interested in.
I think Grill would be a great 6-7 man firecracker off the bench.

Were you just trying to gain a laugh with this? I'm guessing he'll go to a low major for some deserved playing time now, but I really hate that you used the phrase "we're above" taking him. Jack is a great kid, and so is his Dad. I get your point but I don't think we need to start conversations or make a mockery on this board about it. Guess that's one piece of sarcasm I wish we would avoid.
Not sure how the legend of Grill has grown here like it has - good chance he could get his jersey retired here at some point if he doesn't come... I'd think we'd take him, but he has lots and lots of improvement to make. Admittedly, I only saw one of their games this year, but he didn't even look at the basket in the halfcourt set. Maybe he can make great leaps, but I think he's a big question. Still probably worth the look.
