PRPG! = 0.2 (roughly replacement level there)
ORTG = 86.6 (woof howls)
TS% = 43.2%
R% = 20.2% (which is alright)
AST% = 3.4%
TO% = 18.2%
FT% = 48.6%

3PT% = 29.0%
Even if you still want to kick the tires on him, you have to admit he had a rough freshman year at Oregon based on the above statistics. Freshman Solomon (36.8% minutes, 113.0 ORTG, and 64.6% true shooting) was much better, for instance, if we wanted to talk about freshman big men playing significant roles on good teams.
He was okay at rebounding and just bad at everything else. He really had a hard time putting the ball in the basket, and he turned it over quite a lot.
I agree there are guys who get "stuck" behind much better players on good teams who can take larger roles once those guys graduate and/or they transfer, but those guys usually at least are efficient when they do have a chance to play.

Man was Long a miss, not sure what the recruiting services saw in him as he wasnt a very good shooter and wasnt very athletic either, which is kind of a death nell for a shooting guard.
He will get plenty of high major interest. Long and athletic and just a sophomore. He wasn’t consistent but was still in the rotation for a Top 12 team. Also averaged 10 points, 3 rebounds during his 3 games in the Bahamas against Seton Hall, Gonzaga and UNC. He is a take; no questions asked IMO.
Maybe he was injured and suffered lingering issues as a result. I don't have any info, just pure speculation on my part. Both he and Zion Griffin as 4 star borderline top 100 players is baffling and makes you question the integrity of these recruiting services. Blake Hinson, Tyler Harris
The Cyclones made the NCAA Tournament in three of Steve Prohm's first four seasons as coach but struggled to a 12-20 record in the 2019-20 season. Now Iowa State is remaking its roster with the addition of four freshmen and three transfers. One of those transfers, Jalen Coleman-Lands, is a graduate transfer from DePaul. But the other two, Blake Hinson and Tyler Harris, would need waivers to be eligible immediately.
Hinson is a versatile wing who averaged 10.1 points and 4.6 rebounds at Ole Miss last season, and he told the Daytona Beach News-Journal he is now proud "to not be associated with anything representing the Confederacy." Mississippi has since moved to remove the Confederate emblem from its state flag, but that only happened after Hinson decided transfer. Perhaps the NCAA will reward Hinson for his stance by allowing him immediate eligibility. Harris is a 3-point specialist who played his first two seasons at Memphis. It's unclear if he has a case for a waiver, considering that he is actually leaving his hometown school.

This is an interesting case. He made a large leap from his freshman to his sophomore year, and he mostly maintained these efficiency levels as a sophomore against top 100 and top 50 opponents, which warms my heart.
He is not an elite outside shooter or rebounder, but he is very efficient about scoring from inside of the three-point line, doesn't turn it over too much (though I would not call him a distributor considering his low AST% above).
Nothing flashy -- but very efficient. Good growth year-to-year.
Yeah, I would reach out and kick the tires on this one. You can never have too many swingmen. Having him to replace JCL the year after next might be nice.
He's a 4/undersized 5. Nice to see he flashed an ability to at least be a threat from outside (33% 3PT shooter - though low volume) his sophomore year. Highlights remind me a little of Shakur Juiston. He's strong and explosive inside.
Worth noting he's already used a redshirt year so will lose a year if he doesn't get a waiver. Originally from Baltimore and Maryland has a need. I wonder if the Terps will be in on this one.

He looks a bit different to me, he has a little more "4" in him than the guys he would be competing with on our roster. That would create a bit of a logjam though if he got a waiver, not sure I love him as a sit 1 play 1. Gotta think he'll end up closer to home and get a waiver. Maryland would make sense, maybe Georgetown.
