The other day he listed I think 13 schools that had contacted him already, and Iowa was not among them. It would seem unlikely to me that Frannie, who is big on "chemistry," would try to pry Carton into a spot already taken with JoBo returning and Toussaint as well.

It's not JorBo or Toussaint that's the issue.... Connor is the current starting PG. You think Fran is going to bring in competition for Connor? And Carton knows he'd probably get less mins than Connor, which would be beyond idiotic.

Did Xavier Foster and Carton ever play AAU ball together? I saw Foster referenced Carton the other day on his instagram story.

When would Carton be eligible? I mean, he didn't leave till late Jan. If they don't pass immediate waiver rule, he wouldn't help next year. Of course we'd probably still want him for future years. We can afford one sit-out, but I'd say that's all. No offense to Bolton or Tre, but we need immediate help for a true PG, don't we?

There’s no way he doesn’t get a waiver to play next year.

Carton or Aiken
Bolton
Johnson
Young
Foster

Jackson
Conditt
JuCo Guard
Dubar
Blackwell
Walker
Sit-Out Wing
Sit-Out Stretch 4

I think that is a top-half of the conference lineup if we can land a point guard but then again I’ve been inside for 6 days straight...

I've been thinking, why not throw some more madness into the transfer season? Eliminate the sit-out rule if two teams "trade" players. For instance, we might exchange Lewis to Nebraska for Burke. Ideally, both players find a better fit, or more playing time, and neither player has to sit-out a year.

It will be really interesting how the Corona virus impacts Spring recruiting this year. Prior relationships will be crucial. If I read correctly our coaching staff has some sort of "in" with the Harvard transfer...not certain if that was ever expanded on. We previously recruited Carton I dont believe he ever visited however (could be wrong).

Pretty much nothing will happen "person to person", maybe for quite some time.

Going to end up with lots of leaps of faith.

Prohm needs a miracle this spring.

DJ Carton would be that miracle.

Carton and Bolton both excel at attacking the rim. Xavier Foster is a perfect compliment for those types of stronger finish at the rim guards. 7 footer who extends to the perimiter and shoots the three at a high clip forcing shot blockers out of the paint. It'd be a Hail Mary for Prohm!
