Did I miss a connection with ISU and Zoran talley?
No pre existing connection. He did go to a prep school in Chicago out of hs so maybe DRob had a connection that gave him the heads up.
Related to prep school; even though Talley just finished his RS sophmore year, he's old for his age
2016-17 RS sophmore at ODU
2015-16 RS freshman at ODU
2014-15 Redshirt at ODU
2013-14 prep school
2012-13 senior year of HS
Is he eligible this year? I love his game. Shooters are much easier to find than guys that can defend multiple positions.

He's a solid player but not worth using a years scholarship for him to sit out 2017-18 to only play 2018-19, in my opinion.
Also has had 3 suspensions for violation of team rules. Too much baggage in that regard? Or would a re-focus attempt pay dividend for one-season impact?
Possibly, but Prohm's way of handling violating team rules is a lot more strict than Hoiberg's teams. Idk if it is the type of guy that Prohm would be considering, but I guess that is an assumptionAlso has had 3 suspensions for violation of team rules. Too much baggage in that regard? I don't know, but I'm sure he's using the Maui Invitational next year ('18) as a selling point, tooAnyone know when ISU is eligible to do another overseas trip? This year would have been a perfect year for one.
Teams are able to do an overseas trip every 4 years. ISU last took one in 2015 so still 2 years.Anyone know when ISU is eligible to do another overseas trip? This year would have been a perfect year for one.

Along with Messi's response above, makes sense. Close to how I view it.
I also am not familiar with team rules when it applies to Tally. "Violation of team rules" is one of those vague categories you can't always gauge "what" it is (or if he had 3 violations, was it similar thing each time, or varied).
Probably got to Lawrence and realized that Self loves transfer bigs as his backup to higher upside FR players
