I know at least one other poster previously mentioned Isiaha Mike, 6'8" sf, as a similar prospect to Cam Johnson (Pitt grad transfer with 2 years left) and one that hopefully we could get in on. Looks like the Duquesne 4-for-3 transfer will visit Oregon and SMU, which at the very least may impact Brooks or Brown.

Good call on him. A late bloomer moving up to major program level
Too bad we weren't in on him at all it seems. Maybe with the Egor visit cancellation Prohm and crew review the transfer list and see if he is still open to more offers/visits.

I also kinda agree with you - the lack of information on Cam Johnson is kinda strange - and I'm afraid it's only going to needlessly get my hopes up that we are somehow in the hunt. (unless I already missed some info on him like I did with Mike)

Agree on all points. Maybe we just didn't have any luck with Mike, but he'd be very high on the redshirt want list. Johnson would a homerun and help fill every need we have (for potentially two years). At least we've reached out. The longer he waits the more it favors a team with room to wait, but could also signal he's locked in to a place but it's contingent on draft guys

Ok, I was never super confident in Egor, but between Juiston and Edwards, I was hoping for a commitment by now.

I think by early next week, we'll know if we're playing for next year, or if we'll have to focus on 2018-19 by hitting the sit-out market hard.

I'd say the next two weeks- there are some guys testing the draft waters that may come into play a bit later.

If we miss and move focus to 2018-19 I hope keep at least a spot open for one of the late spring/early summer guys. Worse case that opening lets you play the mid-season transfer market.

I think that would be likely. I doubt we would take more than two sit-outs regardless.

And we are in on some good 2018 players.

If you think you're rebuilding next year it's extremely important to make sure 2018-19 is a sure fire tourney team.

@JonRothsein Kansas and Illinois have emerged as the two likeliest landing spots for Cal transfer Charlie Moore, per multiple sources.

I don't get the no love for Charlie Moore. Kid can play. Had a great freshman season. One year under his belt and a possible red Shirt year and he will be solid. He may be a bit short but so is Frank Mason. I would guess Illinois though if he is serious about being closer to home for his family health problem
