Marcus Lee transferring from Kentucky

Will be highly sought after. Don't think ISU has the room for a 3rd big man grad transfer.

Edit: he may not be a grad transfer. Might be sit 1 play 1. That makes him a bit more plausible.

Actually with the loss of Malou, I'd think he'd be more attractive to ISU as a grad transfer to play this year. Strange move for Lee to sit 1 and play 1.

@EvanDaniels Marcus Lee will transfer from Kentucky. Was close to graduating, but didn't. So he will have to sit one to play one.

And why not? #TransferU

I'm gonna guess you'll say because he had offers from the likes of KU & KY, regardless, one can dream.

1) I don't think he will transfer.
2) The slim odds that he does actually transfer X the slim odds that he picks us = < 1%.
3) Southern boy

Good point. Yeah with him being a sit 1 play 1 he'll be one of most sought after transfers in the country. Have to imagine ISU at least tests the waters.

You absolutely take Lee if wants to come here. That being said, he's from California so he'll probably end up in the Pac 12 or at Gonzaga

Lee is an interesting player. From what I saw of him at the NBA combine, he's got a long way to go to reach even McKay's level of offense. It was pretty awful. That said he might excel with some more development and less pressure.

Good call. Gonzaga, Arizona or Oregon will almost assuredly be on his list.

Georgia Tech, Baylor, Kansas, Gonzaga, Iowa State are the schools to immediately reach out to Kentucky transfer Marcus Lee, per a source.

If he was close to graduating there is a possibility he could finish up this summer and play next year.
Kid is a legit defender and rebounder. Fouls a lot and isn't much on offense but his the defense and rebounding are great so it makes up for it.
That would be a huge get.

And ISU definitely had room for a big grad transfer if that transfer is Lee. He'd be a starter from day one.
