***Official 2015 NHL Playoff Thread***

Ever since he had his kid, he has been a different player. Focused, loose and fast. At the beginnning of the playoffs I would have rather had anyone but 23 out there, but you have to give him credit, last night was the best he has looked in years. Picking him back up was worth that one assist.

Vermette and Desjardins have made a big difference. Desjardins grit and determination and Vermette's steadiness have been fun to see develop. Probably can't keep them, but hopefully some of our younger guys have learned how to be a pro from them.

And Crawford, the guy gets no respect from national pundits and just goes out and plays steady. The one mistake he thankfully saved, and knocked a forward out of the game, then Bishop one upped him. I am sure both had some nerves going on.

So true with Crow. He has moments where you are like "did you seriously just let that in??" And moments of "holy **** how did you stop that??" I mean he could potentially be winning his second Cup which puts him in elite company. He still will take a **** from everyone though.

Like you pointed out, I think most of his criticism comes from his consistency (or lack thereof). Ive said many times before that he's an elite talent with an average mentality. If he knew how good he was he'd be the best goaltender in the league. With that being said, I still think he's top 5-7ish. I will say that its probably pretty challenging to be the goalie for a team like Chicago who focuses so much on their offense and seem, at times, to make playing sound hockey in the defensive zone a secondary priority.

I feel like you Blackhawk fans have this doom and gloom discussion every series, and everything goes your way afterwards. I'll put you at ease. I'm rooting against your team, which pretty much guarantees your team will win the series.

You're all welcome

Let's not forget Niklas Hjalmarsson. He does so many little things on the defensive end that go unnoticed. He has been a force. The depth that the Blackhawks has year after year is amazing.

Our 3rd and 4th line are the difference makers in this series so far.

Yea. The Vermette line has been awesome. Everything you want from your non top 6 guys. And speaking of depth, wasn't Vermette a big time play maker in AZ? Now in Chicago he's prolly the 5th or 6th option.

Also the Iowa basketball team has great depth.

The puck is bouncing funny tonight...I bet the humidity _is_ effecting it.
